The Institute's mission is the rational quantification of the effects of uncertainties on the performance and reliability of engineering structures. The developed methodologies can be applied to problems in fields such as aerospace, civil, mechanical, offshore engineering. Ultimately, the developed analysis tools can be effectively deployed in the quality assurance of mechanical components used in the above fields.
